Traction Man calls for help!

This week Maple Class received two letters from Traction Man asking for their help. In his first letter, he told the class that he had a new piece of equipment and that sometimes it worked and other times it didn't. He needed their help to understand why? His new equipment was a magnet. Maple Class carried out an investigation and then wrote to Traction Man to tell him what they had found out.

Traction Man then wrote to the class to tell them that he had lost his magnet and asked if they could help by making a magnet for him. The class rose to the challenge and were able to use their knowledge of magnets to do this.

The class also learnt that every magnet has a North and South Pole and what happens when you put the same and different poles together.
